It’s time to raise prices for Netflix customers in Canada and the US. Prices for monthly subscriptions will increase by a penny or two depending on the tier you choose.
Reuters reported first that standard plans in the US would range from $13.99 to $15.49 per month; Netflix’s help site confirmed this change and also a bump to the premium tier, which will cost $18 to $19.99 per month.
The changes are mirrored up north where standard plans went up from 15.99 Canadian to 16.99 Canadian. Standard plans allow you to use two screens at once, but premium permits you to have up to four.
This is what Netflix does almost every year. A few dollars more was added to at the tail end of 2020. In January 2019, October 2017, and October 2015., May 2014. were the same. It’s easy to forget that the service cost $8 per month 10 years ago. However, the company’s original content ambitions are now greater than the price.
