WhatsApp Desktop Beta Version Will Rollout Pause Feature while Recording Voice Notes

WhatsApp seems to be working on a new feature. This functionality was discovered by WABetaInfo within the WhatsApp Desktop beta (build 2.2201.2). Anyone can use the beta version to test new features before they become available to the public.

According to the site, the beta version of WhatsApp Desktop replaces the stop button with a new pause button when recording voice notes. You might be wondering how this is useful. Some people are very slow and others talk fast, but they don’t seem to care about their time. Do not let your own ineptness make you one of these people. Voice notes with pauses are a great tool: You can quickly preview the recording before you transmit it or delete it to restart or resume recording.

Users who have enrolled in the WhatsApp Desktop beta edition are currently receiving the enhanced recording experience. Beta testers will have access to the feature in future beta releases.

Once it’s out of beta, WhatsApp will make the ability to pause or restart voice notes public. Unfortunately, nobody knows when it will be available to everyone. The deployment should take less than a day if history is any indication. WhatsApp for iPhone and Mac has an option to preview voice messages before you send them.

Meta owns the messaging service. It is currently testing a feature that allows you to listen to audio messages while simultaneously multitasking in another thread. For more information, see Fix WhatsApp Video Mute not Working on iPhone. WhatsApp has recently introduced an in-app assistance option, which was briefly tested last year.

The ability to chat with a verified WhatsApp account will allow users to seek help. This feature is currently being tested. This feature was found in the latest WhatsApp beta version for iOS, Android and is expected to be available to users later. The feature tracker indicates that WhatsApp is testing new animations for heart emoticons to go along with the red heart animated emoticon in the current WhatsApp beta 22.2.72 iOS version.
